Kundalika will be sharing unique original compositions pieces based on traditional Indian ragas in conversation with jazz and African rhythm. Our music is improvised, so each show is unique! Deep Shenoy will be performing music on the sarod, an Indian classical instrument. In addition, he will be debuting a new part of the Kundalika repertoire: "Electric Ragas," which are raga-based compositions on the electric guitar. These open up a new set of sound textures and continue to expand the possibilities of traditional Indian music. As always, every Kundalika piece has a story behind it, and we'll share those stories with you! Deep's collaborators for this show are Allison Lince Bentley on bansuri and flute, Uasuf Gueye on African percussion, and Alex Martin on guitar.
