Deep Shenoy is a Washington DC area musician. He is developing an innovative musical format called "global jugalbandi," a cross-cultural musical conversation between Indian classical melody (inspired by traditional ragas) and other musical traditions such as bluegrass, jazz, and Manding. His world music compositions reflect his love for and dedication to the rich tradition of Indian ragas and a curiosity to find ways for non-Indian audiences to find away to access them. His DMV-based ensemble performs under the name Kundalika, a Sanskrit word for circle. He is also available to book as a solo musician for stage and studio, playing multiple percussion and melody instruments.
“The true use of music is to become musical in one's thoughts, words and actions.” - Hazrat Inayat Khan
